Batcher 0.0.5: Automatically Batch-Execute An InDesign Script On Many Files.

Batcher 0.0.5 has been released. With this tool, you can batch execute InDesign scripts.

Batcher can take many existing InDesign scripts (.jsx files) and add batch processing features to them. Most of the time, there is no need for changes to the script.

This version adds a new feature to handle situations where you want to batch-execute a complex script that is composed of multiple files.

While most ExtendScripts are simple and only consist of a single .jsx file, it can happen that you have to automate a script which is distributed over multiple files.

You can handle some these cases by using the ScriptFile=… setting in the Batcher config.ini file, and make the script files reside in a different folder than the Batcher application.

But for more complex situations that is not flexible enough.

The latest Batcher offers a solution: you can now add one of two text files to the collection of .jsx files in the Batcher folder.

You can add a file called omit.txt, and list the script files to be omitted by Batcher, one per line.

Or you can add a file called only.txt and list the script files to be automated by Batcher, one per line. Any other script files will be ignored.
