- Select the Window – Scripting – Script Label menu item – This will make the Script Label panel visible.
In CS2 you’d use the Window – Automation – Script Label menu instead. The CS2 palette looks similar. - Select the TextFrame you want to set a label for.
- Type in the label within the Script Label panel (in one word, all lowercase. Be careful and avoid adding any whitespace).
- Then click somewhere else in the pasteboard area to deselect the TextFrame.
You can use the same palette to remove the Script Label from a TextFrame at some later point in time, after which the box becomes a normal TextFrame again.
