I would like to be able to export selected items on an IDD page as jpeg that I can edit in PS. I can export snippets, but can't open them in PS.
Anyone know of a plugin that would work? Thanks you!

Dear,

This function should be available in InDesign. Simply select the page item(s) you want to export, select File - Export..., select JPEG, and in the 'Export JPEG' dialog, make sure you choose 'Selection'.

That should do the trick...

Hi, The problem is that I need to export as jpg only the selected items, not the whole page as InDesign does.
I have found a solution:

This adds the abilty to export only the selected items. The developer says they are not upgrading it for CS3, not sure why though. I am waiting for a response from them. Maybe CS3 will adds this functionality?

Dear,

Have you tried the procedure I gave? The procedure I described works for just the selected items.

If you follows the steps I gave exactly it will export only the selected items, not the whole page.

The critical steps are

1) Make sure you select a page item before starting the procedure
2) Make sure you select 'Selection' on the dialog

if you do that, a standard InDesign will export just the selected item.
