I installed the run time file ActivePageItemRuntimeCS2.pln into

Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS2\Plug-Ins

I unzipeed the TextExporter 1.0.2 and placed the file TextExporter.spln into the plug-in directory.

I can only assume, once I click the fly out menu which seems to be in place in the menu bar, that I am supposed to see something listed in the "Active Page Item Runtime v1.0.42" window which apears, but there is nothing.

Any input or suggestions?

After an additional launch of InDesign, now there is a text exporter.

Will advise if this occurs again, but I am pretty sure I just needed to reboot. Thanks.

Dear,

Tools like TextExporter and any of our scripted plug-ins are a bit different: their menu items ONLY appear when you open a document.
