Title: TextExporter on Mac, InDesign CS4 Post by kazuhisa on 09/07/11 at 07:28:57
I Have installed the TextExporter on Mac for InDesign CS4.
I do a folder TextExporter in the Plug-Ins folder with these files: APIDToolAssistantCS4.InDesignPlugin TextExporter.spln Inside of the folder I copy these folder with the three files inside: Automation/ CallExportFromAppleScript.scpt CallExportFromJavaScript.js CallExportFromVBScript.vbs After that I start up InDesign, but nothing happens. Where I could find the TextExporter in InDesign? What I do wrong? |

Dear,
A question: did you open a document? It's very important that you do - TextExporter's menu only appears after you open or create a document. Open a document, then check the API menu... Let me know how that works... Cheers, Kris |

Here's a capture of my InDesign CS4 folder:
img717.imageshack.us/img717/2194/textexporter.png (I can't do an link or image before I have 10 posts) Maybe I do something wrong by the installation? All I do is, to copy the files to the Plug-Ins folder of InDesign. After that I start up InDesign and open a file. But there's no API. |

Hi,
Not sure - is this an edited screen shot? If not, any idea where the Adobe InDesign CS4 application has gone - it should be in that folder but seems to be missing? Normally, the Adobe InDesign CS4 folder should also contain the application (a file called 'Adobe InDesign CS4') and the uninstaller (a file called 'Uninstall Adobe InDesign CS4'). If you moved these somewhere else, you should move them back. Cheers, Kris |

P.S. If possible, could you let me know whether you opened a document? I think you forgot to answer my question...
