APID CookBook Section 3.2
01/12/07 at 03:02:33

Hi Kris,

I have successfully worked my way through the CookBook until I got to section 3.2 where you introduce the approach of using external scripts. Having failed to work out what should go where, I came back to the Message Board and found your entry from 05/05/2006 about surpassing the 32k limit on attached scripts.

Is this what you have to do to set up and run any external script?

Regards,

Doug Neale

Hi Doug,

Have you checked out the 'APIDTemplate' ? That automates a lot of the stuff around keeping your scripts external - it's documented in the cookbook as well, section 4.3

Essentiallym, what's explained in 3.2 and so are the low-level mechanics used by APIDTemplate - APIDTemplate is more of a higher-level view on Scripted Plug-ins

Cheers,

Kris
