On Windows there are three common scenarios:
• Scenario 32/32:
32-bit InDesign on 32-bit Windows
If 32 and 64 bit variants of our plugins are available, you must pick the 32-bit variant of our plug-ins
• Scenario 64/64:
64-bit InDesign on 64-bit Windows.
If 32 and 64 bit variants of our plugins are available, you must pick the 64-bit variant of our plug-ins
• Scenario 32/64:
32-bit InDesign on 64-bit Windows
If 32 and 64 bit variants of our plugins are available, you must pick the 32-bit variant of our plug-ins
It is possible to encounter both Scenario 64/64 and Scenario 32/64 on a 64-bit Windows workstation.
In that case you must take care not to mix up versions.
It is a common mistake to install a plug-in into the 32-bit version of InDesign, and then launch the 64-bit version of InDesign.
