We have a Soxy beta with support for CC 2014 apps available for download.
With the new Soxy, you can keep InDesign CC 9.x files separated from InDesign CC 2014 files, and avoid inadvertent upgrading of a file.
Double-click InDesign CC 2014 files, and they’ll open in InDesign CC 2014. And when you double-click InDesign CC 9.x files, they’ll open in the older InDesign CC 9.x.
This avoids forcing you to do the downsave-to-IDML song and dance.
